Barbara Cronin Hershberg received her B.A. in dance from Lone Mt. College in San Francisco. She received her teaching credential and an M.A. in Early Childhood Education, and an M.A. in Leadership and Organization from UCSB. After retiring from 25 years of teaching, Barbara pursued her passion for art. She has exhibited her work in a variety of venues, including the Carpinteria Arts Center, Atkinson Gallery, Voice Gallery, Gallery 113, Channing Peake Gallery, the Oceanside Art Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art and the Ridley-Tree Art Museum at Westmont.
She is most comfortable creating collages, but has recently become interested in architectural photography, and in painting impressionistic flowers. Her passion is creating a rich and dynamic color palette. There is not a day that goes by that she doesn’t paint, photograph or explore other artists’ techniques and work.
The artist is a member of the SBAA, GVAA, SBVA, the Abstract Art Collective and serves as Chairperson on the board of Gallery 113.
