Barbara Cronin Hershberg is a self-taught artist whose creative journey began with collage and has evolved into an exploration of abstract acrylic painting and photography. She has expanded her practice through workshops with Maureen Chatfield, Elaine Wilson, Kathy Leader, and Donna Wilson, as well as classes with Carissa Luminess at Santa Barbara City College’s Continuing Education program and with Chuck Place.
Barbara is deeply engaged in the local arts community, serving as Chair of the Board for Gallery 113. She loves coming up with new ideas to increase awareness of the gallery. She is also President of the Friends of the Santa Barbara Library. An avid reader, she also enjoys playing Mah Jongg, tap dancing, bike riding, and watching documentaries. A devoted dog lover, she spends much of her free time with her rescue dog, Sweetie Pie. She is also a member of the Goleta Valley Art Association and the Abstract Art Collective of Santa Barbara.
