I am drawn to simple compositions, textures, handmade paper, found objects, Asian influences and a limited color palette. I have created assemblages, collages, mixed media and acrylic paintings. When mixing colors, I am joyful when the adjectives dreamy and delicious come to mind. Golden butterscotch, luscious sunsets, the perfect red of a pepper, the color of the houses in the Caribbean and the green of an olive may appear in my paintings. I would like the viewer to be content, without needing to find a clear image in the piece.
