I am entitling this show “…of the people, by the people…” inspired by President Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address. The central image is a collage of a photo of Lincoln’s face on Mt Rushmore framed in blue and yellow acrylic paint. The two figures at the base of his image are my mother Rose, and her sister Teresa, two Irish immigrant girls happy to be in the U.S. In this photo, my mother was twenty and in her first year in this country. They were inspired to come here for the promise of the United States.

I am surrounding the Lincoln image with my abstract images of the Statue of Liberty also representing the promise of our beautiful country.
