Living and creating in Santa Barbara California, I use fabric as my palette and thread as my brush. My work begins with an intuitive search for textiles that show emotion, movement and possibility. I pin fabrics onto cloth in a painterly style ,layering shapes and hues in a deliberate and instinctive fashion.Once the designs feel alive and complete I stitch the pieces together transforming fabric into magical pieces of art. Creating  is not just simply a practice for me but an innate biological drive, almost a necessary form of language. Through texture and color, I translate feeling into form. Fabric Collage is my therapy, my meditation and my  language. 

My work has received numerous awards and is exhibited online and in galleries throughout the region. I welcome commissions and the opportunity to create custom pieces that tell personal stories through Fabric Collage. Animals and pets are my specialty.
