Fred is a multi-talented artist who arrived in Santa Barbara in 1976 with a BFA from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Fred discovered “light photography” in 2021 where he creates photographic images using different colored light sources. He sets these light sources in motion and captures the resulting images.

The artist’s career includes working decades at the Music Academy of the West, lead roles at the Santa Barbara Civic Light Opera,  Garvin Theater, and Genesis West Theatre Group. Fred is a current board member of the Santa Barbara Art Association and Abstract Art Collective.
