Katherine began her artistic career originally taking photos to capture changing light and those wonderful “aha” moments from local Santa Barbara scenes and coastal walks. This evolved into photography with acceptance into local and international shows. Katherine’s work displays a color palette that is natural and untouched, yet sublime, capturing changing atmospheric conditions defining the natural beauty that is Santa Barbara.

Two of her photographs in this exhibit will also be featured in “The USA Exhibition” at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum for the 24th Japan Int’l. Art Exchange this June (Julienne Johnson, Curator-USA with Chairman, Katsu Shimmin-Japan). All works are on exhibition fiber with museum frames and non-glare plexi or museum glass.
