Artist of the Month

Growing up surrounded by wilderness and wide-open spaces, I’ve always felt a deep connection to the edge where land meets water — the coast, where beauty is both powerful and quiet. In this body of work, Coastal Spirit, I explore the atmosphere, rhythms, and memory held in these transitional spaces. Each painting is rooted in a moment of stillness: a passing whale, golden light on driftwood, silhouettes of birds rising through mist.

Through oils and soft tonal layering, I seek to evoke a sense of reverence — not just for the natural world, but for the experiences we carry through it. Whether it’s the hush of dawn over pine-covered hills, the glow of a tidepool at sunset, or the quiet companionship of a walk along the beach, this series is a meditation on presence.

These coastal scenes are more than landscapes to me; they are emotional spaces, places of reflection and renewal. My hope is that they offer you, too, a place to pause — and to feel the pull of the sea’s spirit within your own.
