My artwork is inspired by several historic and contemporary landscape artists, who so deftly capture a a realistic interpretation of a scene through the use of natural color, confident brushwork and a dramatic sense of light. The most influential are Hanson Puthuff, Edgar Payne, William Wendt, Matt Smith, Scott Christensen, Kathleen Dunphy, Kirby Brown, and Mark Boedges.
