In Sue Slater’s exhibit warm Autumn colors and long shadows are apparent in her paintings of buildings & structures alike. In “Island Building,” a “36”x48” oil on canvas, layers of neutral colors are built up  with accents of brighter colors that emerge and may surprise. Other paintings include lively interiors and Mediterranean Santa Barbara views. Still lifes and abstractions round out the show adding to the variety of the exhibit. Sue has  been an active member of the Santa Barbara Art Association since 1985. Her work has also been in several galleries in California. She has exhibited in art festivals throughout the state and is currently exhibiting at the Sunday Santa Barbara Cabrillo Art Show.
