VIRGINIA KAMHI is a much-awarded artist.  She holds a Masters in Fine Art Painting from Academy of Art University and has studied extensively with many contemporary masters.  Her works have been featured in Southwest Art and other publications.

Places of the Heart shows oil paintings of places dear to her heart.  Leo Legato is from a magical moment at one of her favorite painting spots, Leo Carrillo State Beach.  She had gone out to paint plein air and was painting the nearby cliffs and surf. The tide was rolling in and she was up to her knees in water. She decided to move her easel, and when she turned, this magical scene was behind her with the sky slowly changing. Vista di San Giorgio Maggiore portrays an early evening looking across the Venice waters to the island, still swathed in the pale light of the setting sun.
